With her long foredeck and muscular big-boat profile, the Egg Harbor 48 Sport Fisherman represented the last of the classic old-style Egg Harbor convertible designs. She was built on a low-deadrise modified-V hull with a moderate beam, a shallow keel and a well-flared bow. Aimed at the luxury end of the sportfishing market, she was originally offered in either a two-or three-stateroom layout with a large portside master stateroom.

We made new mattresses for our client’s 1979 Egg Harbor 48. They chose our 7” latex mattress for their forward and the master. This mattress is constructed with a 6″ latex core and covered in an ultra-soft bamboo quilting. The benefits of a latex mattress include being mold and mildew resistant, extremely comfortable, latex helps regulate body heat, which allows you to sleep cooler and it is bendable and breathable. The mattress is available in Soft, Medium Firm and Firm. You can see in the pictures, in the forward we did two separate pieces for their V Berth bed. They added some Red Land Cotton Sheets in white and their beds felt brand new and refreshed.
