he 2008 Catalina 350 MK II is well known for its smart cabin layout and comfortable cruising design. Catalina owners appreciate the way this model blends practicality with a bright interior making it a popular choice for coastal cruising and weekend getaways. With a roomy forward berth and warm wood finishes, the 350 MK II offers plenty of opportunities to increase comfort, and adding custom bedding is one of the most impactful upgrades. We worked with a client on their 2008 Catalina 350 MK II and focused on enhancing the forward berth with a new custom mattress topper that provided improved support and a noticeably more restful sleeping experience.

For the Forward Berth, the owners chose our 3 inch Gel Memory Foam Mattress Topper, which is a simple and cost-effective way to upgrade comfort without replacing the existing mattress. Adding a custom made topper to your mattress can be a cost effective way to enhance your comfort on board. Our Premium Gel Infused Memory Foam toppers have the soft sinking feel that memory foam is known for and they are infused with gel beads that help pull heat from the body, creating an ideal sleep environment. Toppers are an excellent solution when you are not quite ready to replace your stock mattress or when you want to add comfort to a multi cushion berth such as a settee berth or a traditional V-Berth. It is important to note that if your existing mattress is sagging, adding a topper will not solve that problem.

Our Gel Memory Foam toppers are made with 2 inches of Premium Gel Infused Memory Foam and topped with our 1 inch plush bamboo quilting. You can upgrade the quilting to our Cool Max Quilting which is a premium phase change fabric quilted with an additional layer of memory foam gel. Every topper is custom made to fit your existing mattress or settee, creating a clean and tailored finish that improves both comfort and appearance. The customers loved the comfort their new Topper added to the bed and they were off to set sail.
