It is hard to improve upon the cockpit of the Friendship 40, so the 50 will maintain this coveted spaciousness, with all sailing systems controlled at the helm. There will be a large walk-around cockpit table with ergonomically perfect settees to port and starboard. All lines have custom storage bins, and the mainsheet is led aft of the helmsman where it is safe and out of the way of guests. Below decks, the Friendship 50 is set up perfectly for coastal cruising. Maintaining a nice, open plan feel, the full galley is open to the full beam salon. Folding teak doors forward make it possible to either open the space up even more to include the forward stateroom or close it off for privacy. Almost never found on a boat of this size is the spacious head with separate stall shower… both musts for this owner who loves to spend the night on board.

We worked with some clients on their 2014 Friendship 50 and loved how it turned out. A 9-inch Hayval Organic Latex Mattress went in their Forward with a Mattress Pad Cover for some extra protection. They picked out a Matouk Nocturne Sheet Set with the incredibly soft Matouk Dream Modal Blanket. For some extra warmth they did two blankets, the second was our Hayval Ivory Quilt. Next, a Quilted Coverlet in an upgraded Stout Performance Fabric with Standard Shams in another great Stout fabric.

We also did a 14 by 24-inch throw pillow in a Perennials Performance Fabric and finished off the bed with an amazing Hayval Cashmere throw blanket. For the head, we did a couple of Matouk Bello bath towels, hand towels, washcloths, and a tub mat. They finished off their order with 18-inch throw pillows for the Salon and even went with a Matouk Tissue Box Cover to pull it all together. They were all set to get out on the water for a great time.
