We had clients with a 2007 Mikelson 50 in San Diego, and we loved how it all turned out. The Forward Stateroom got a 9” Hāyväl Organic Mattress. It is the world’s first custom natural mattress, made specifically for the marine environment. Hāyväl is a mattress free of polyurethane foams, chemical fire retardants, and as close to 100% organic as possible. The unique construction starts with a proprietary layered 6” organic latex base and topped with a 2” extra plush natural Talalay Eurotop.

The Hāyväl mattress is covered in Certified Organic Cotton and quilted with both natural cotton and natural Joma Wool from New Zealand.  We use wool for a number of reasons; not only is it antimicrobial, and offers natural temperature control, it also acts as a natural fire barrier. Inspired by some of the finest mattresses from Europe. The brand new mattress needed some protection, so they went with the Matouk Foundation Mattress Protector or Mattress Pad Cover. This is an extra layer of protection that you can take off and clean easily, it is a 520 thread count percale and super comfortable to sleep on.

They loved the Matouk India Sheet Set that comes with a Fitted Sheet, Flat Sheet, and 2 Standard Pillowcases. Keeping with the Green, they chose the Parisienne Velvet Blanket to sleep with. As a decorative bed spread, our Quilted Coverlet, they went with our Core Fabric Parker. They pick out Standard Shams in our Core Fabric Strokes with a 14×24” Pillow in an upgraded Stout Performance Fabric called School O Fish. The bed was completed with a Matouk Pezzo throw blanket. We loved this fun look and this bed was refreshed and ready for a great night sleep.
