ehind the modern lines of Amel Yachts hide fifty years of know-how, born from Henri Amel’s passion for ocean-going sailing and ship-building. Their equipment and design are in constant development to guarantee optimum onboard comfort, regardless of the sailing conditions.

We recently had a customer with a 2002 Amel Super Maramu 53 come to us in San Diego looking for a new Mattress, here is what that order looked like. They went with our 7” Organic Hayval Mattress in Medium Firm Density. It is the world’s first custom natural mattress, made specifically for the marine environment. Hayval is a mattress free of polyurethane foams, chemical fire retardants, and as close to 100% organic as possible. The unique construction starts with a proprietary layered 4” organic latex base and topped with a 2” extra plush natural Talalay Eurotop. The Hayval mattress is covered in Certified Organic Cotton and quilted with both natural cotton and natural Joma Wool from New Zealand.  We use wool for a number of reasons; not only is it antimicrobial, and offers natural temperature control, it also acts as a natural fire barrier. Inspired by some of the finest mattresses from Europe, The Hayval Mattress is crafted by hand in Huntington Beach California and available to test at our Factory Showroom in Huntington Beach as well as our San Diego showroom at Sunroad Marina. They absolutely loved their new Hayval Mattress and we were happy to help.
