The Beneteau 473 is designed for sailors who value both comfort and performance. This yacht combines generous living spaces with the kind of offshore capability that has made Beneteau a trusted name around the world. The 2004 Beneteau 473, with its bright interior and well-appointed cabins, offers the perfect canvas for a custom bedding update that balances elegance, comfort, and practicality.

For this project, we help our clients design a completely custom bedding package that enhances the feel of the cabin while maintaining the yacht’s classic, nautical character. We began by upgrading the sleep experience with a 9-inch Latex Pillow Top Mattress featuring a hinge for easy access to under-berth storage. This custom fit ensures both comfort and function. We paired it with a Mattress Protector to add a layer of protection. For the sheet set, they chose the Matouk Amara Triple Stitch Beach Sheet Set with standard pillowcases, known for its soft feel and clean, tailored look. The neutral tone complements a wide range of interiors and pairs beautifully with both light and dark wood finishes often found on Beneteau yachts.

Layered next is the Saturday Blanket in the color Ink, a versatile piece that adds texture and comfort without feeling heavy. On top, we placed a Quilted Coverlet in our Core Fabric Sugarcane, tailored with welting, minimal detailing, and custom breaks and flaps for a perfect fit to the berth shape. This combination gives the bed a refined, inviting appearance that feels both contemporary and timeless.

To complete the look, we added two Standard Shams in another one of our Core Fabrics, Naples, along with two 18-inch throw pillows in Clayton and a 14×24-inch Pillow in an Upgraded Performance Indoor/Outdoor Fabric in Stout Tambourine 1 Ink. Together, these accents introduce rich navy tones that elevate the design while keeping a coastal, relaxed aesthetic. The end result is a clean, modern bedding layout that ties seamlessly into the yacht’s warm, welcoming interior.

The transformation of this 2004 Beneteau 473 highlights how the right custom bedding can enhance both comfort and visual appeal aboard. Every detail was designed with the owner’s lifestyle in mind, creating a finished look that feels distinctly nautical yet refreshingly modern.
