Beneteau 473 was created initially by the French design firm and then built by Beneteau. Among all other amazing boat models made by this well-known company, the 473 Aft Cabin truly stands out mainly because of its beautiful design, spacious room and great value.

After initially having us make a brand new 7” latex mattress, sheets and coverlet for the forward stateroom of this Beneteau 473, our customers in Long Beach reached out to have us help them freshen up their aft stateroom.  This is a custom 3-piece upholstered hybrid latex mattress, with a Sunbrella Chartres Storm cover for the aft cabin of a Beneteau 473 two cabin layout.  

The customer opted for an upholstered mattress as this room is often used to store cockpit cushions, life jackets, and sometime sails, so they wanted a sleeping solution that was both comfortable, functional, and extremely durable. The original stock mattress was in two pieces, however wanting to make accessing the hatches underneath easier our customer opted to make the new mattress in three pieces.

The Hybrid mattress used here is actually an economical way to enjoy the comfort of Latex and freshen up your stateroom.  We start with a 3” base of hi density polyurethane foam and add 2 inches of soft latex and cover it in our plush bamboo quilting.  With several boat mattress and mattress topper options to choose from, we are able to create a sleeping solution to fit all budgets.  Each boat mattress is crafted to fit the unique size and shape of your berth.  Each boat mattress we make is crafted custom in California and built to stand up to rigors of a marine environment.
