he 2003 Meridian 540 Pilothouse is a yacht designed for owners who appreciate long range cruising, generous living spaces, and a layout that feels both purposeful and comfortable. With its raised pilothouse, wide beam, and thoughtfully separated staterooms, this model offers excellent privacy for owners and guests while maintaining the open, welcoming feel Meridian is known for. Both the Aft Master Stateroom and Forward VIP Stateroom are true retreats, making sleep comfort and bedding design a top priority for this project.

For the Aft Master Stateroom, we installed a custom 9 inch Latex Pillow Top Mattress with a medium density base, paired with a Mattress Protector and the Matouk Milano Hemstitch Sheet Set in the color Pool. This sheet set includes a fitted sheet, flat sheet, and two standard pillowcases and adds a fresh, crisp feel to the space. To complete the look, we added an Italian Coverlet in our Core Fabric Palm along with two standard sham decorative pillow covers in the same fabric, creating a soft, layered design that feels calm and inviting.

In the forward VIP stateroom, we mirrored the same level of comfort by using the same Custom Mattress, Mattress Protector, and Matouk Milano Hemstitch Sheet Set for a cohesive feel throughout the yacht. To give this stateroom its own personality, we selected our Italian Coverlet in the Core Fabric Ocean and finished the bed with matching Sham Decorative Pillow Covers, creating a subtle contrast while maintaining continuity in style.

With our 9 inch Latex Pillowtop Mattress you will close your eyes and swear you are in the bed of a five star hotel. We turn the dial to 11 by constructing each mattress with a super comfortable 6 inch medium latex core that provides excellent support and durability. On top of that, we add 2 inches of ultra soft latex pillow top and finish the mattress with our plush bamboo quilting for a breathable, luxurious feel. The result is truly The Leader of the Fleet. Latex is ideal for the marine environment because it is naturally mold and mildew resistant, extremely comfortable, helps regulate body heat so you sleep cooler, and does not absorb odors.

Each boat mattress is crafted to fit the unique size and shape of your berth and is built custom in California to stand up to the rigors of life on the water. If your stateroom has difficult to access storage underneath the mattress, we can add a hinge at no additional cost to make everyday use easier.

Our custom Mattress Protectors are designed to fit over the mattress like a fitted sheet. They provide a washable layer of protection while maintaining the feel of the mattress. Made with a soft cashmere and polyester blend, these protectors are the perfect complement to your bedding. Mattress protectors are intended to provide protection only and will not increase the comfort of your mattress.

The Matouk Milano Hemstitch Sheet Set is a 600 thread count Egyptian cotton percale that has become an enduring favorite in the Matouk sheeting collection. Finished with a subtle, sophisticated hemstitch detail, it offers a crisp and cool sleeping experience and is available in a wide range of colors.

Our Italian Coverlet is a fantastic option if you are looking for a functional yet refined layer. Made in your choice of fabric and fully lined, it is designed to be tucked in and used as a blanket. Its generous size provides plenty of coverage while sleeping and looks polished and tailored when the bed is made for the day. The Palm and Ocean fabrics add texture and depth while keeping the overall design clean and timeless.
