he 2005 Hunter 420 Passage is a well loved cruising sailboat designed for comfort, practicality, and extended time on the water. Known for its spacious aft stateroom, generous storage, and bright, open interior, this model has long been a favorite among sailors who enjoy coastal cruising and liveaboard life. The Passage series was built with livability in mind, and the aft stateroom in particular offers a true retreat at the end of the day, making sleep comfort an essential part of the onboard experience.

For this Hunter 420 Passage, we upgraded the aft stateroom with a custom 9 inch Gel Memory Foam Pillow Top Mattress and a mattress protector, creating a noticeably more comfortable and supportive sleep environment tailored specifically to the shape of the berth.

Close your eyes and you will swear you are in the bed of a five star hotel. We turn the dial to 11 by constructing each mattress with a super comfortable 6 inch Medium Density Latex core that provides excellent support and durability. On top of that, we add 2 inches of a Gel Memory Foam Pillow Top, then finish the mattress with our plush bamboo quilting for a soft, breathable, and luxurious feel.

Each boat mattress is crafted to fit the unique size and shape of your berth, ensuring a perfect fit even in the most custom spaces. Every mattress we make is built by hand in California and engineered to stand up to the rigors of life on the water. If your berth has difficult to access storage underneath, we can add a hinge to your mattress at no additional cost, making everyday use simple and convenient.

To protect this investment, we added one of our custom mattress protectors, designed to fit over the mattress like a fitted sheet. It provides a washable layer of protection while maintaining the feel of your mattress. Made with a soft cashmere and polyester blend, this protector is the perfect complement to your new mattress. Mattress protectors are intended to safeguard your mattress and will not increase comfort, but they do help extend the life of your bedding and keep everything fresh and clean.
